Single Malt Reviews

As many of you already know, im a collector of Single Malt Whisky, and whilst there are still many commercial release bottlings that are well worth tasting, its the old, rare and extremely limited small batch bottlings that im really into.

As a proud member of the Macquarie Gillies Club (one of the oldest whisky clubs outside Scotland), we are very fortunate due to the generosity of its members to taste some phenomenal malts that are just not available due to price or rarity, or that are shipped directly from Scotland for private consumption.

One such meeting happened earlier this week, and it was a staggering line up in terms of quality and rarity.

Here follows the detail:

1. Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Glenesk - Distilled 1984, bottled 2008. 43% (Distillery Mothballed)
