D'Arenberg 'The Peppermint Paddock' Chambourcin NV RRP - $33.99 Bottle - $25.95 Case of 6 - $155.70           Vibrant black, crimson-purple mousse with a fine persistent bead that can only be described as a ‘Ring of Pearls’. A rare and wonderful sight in sparkling wines. The aroma is dry, rather than over ripe sweet glazed confectionary characters often seen in lesser wines. It is dominated by the freshness of violets, rhubarb, intense boysenberry mulberry fruit characters with a spiced maraschino cherry element. Case Only (6 Units)

Grant Burge Sparkling Shiraz Cabernet NV RRP - $33.99 Bottle - $27.03 Case of 6 - $162.15           1 trophy , 1 silver , 3 bronze The Shiraz component was taken from vineyards in the southern end of the Barossa Valley near Lyndoch and the Eden Valley, where growing conditions are excellent for allowing the varietal characters to fully develop and produce grapes of intense concentration and flavour. Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced mainly from my own Barossa vineyards, and also a portion from the cooler climate of the Coonawarra, which is known for its minty, green-leaf character.
