The Wilson Vineyard Gewurztraminer Riesling 2008 RRP - $21.95 Bottle - $19.95 Case of 12 - $239.40           Someone once described Gewurztraminer as the "chardonnay of the 70s" and we dutifully went with the flow with both. Chardonnay no longer grows in our vineyard, but we have retained some of the 70s gewurztraminer, and for a long time used it to make our fortified "Leuocothea". The aromatic spiciness of gewurztraminer makes it a "must-have" with some Oriental foods. We have added some riesling to achieve a better acid-balance in the wine and provide some longevity.
